All Dam Buster rain heads are engineered around maximum flow rates, not dimensions.
All Dam Buster rain heads have a certified overflow capacity of at least 16 litres per second, but down pipe sizes and configurations will vary and also need to be taken into account when determining normal flow rates and suitability for each installation.
Dam Buster rain heads fully meet the requirements of the National Construction Code and Plumbing Code of Australia, including AS/NZS3500.3. They are also 100% Australian made from Australian Bluescope steel.
You can select, buy and install Dam Buster rain heads with confidence and no Performance Solution is required.
Please follow the methods in AS/NZS3500.3 to determine the flow rate and what size box gutter and down pipe you want to use, then select the appropriate Dam Buster product based on flow rate, or otherwise Contact Us.
Because Dam Buster rain heads are very high performance products, in general, 200mm and 300mm Dam Buster models (with correctly sized box gutters and down pipes) are more than adequate for even a large domestic house in most States and Territories of Australia, with the 400mm, 500mm and 600mm models more suitable for areas of very high to extreme potential rainfall or else in commercial applications.
NOTE: We don't make custom designs or custom sizes except for Architects and Designers who want to incorporate the innovative Dam Buster features into a unique feature piece of rain head art for equally unique buildings. Please Contact Us to discuss these options for your project.
Choosing the right size box gutter to suit your Dam Buster is also extremely important; box gutters must also be correctly sized according to AS/NZS3500.3. Don't forget that bigger is not necessarily better and bigger also costs a lot more to build. If you are not sure, speak to your Hydraulic Engineer for more information about correct box gutter sizing.
